JUMPSTART is designed to guide you toward spiritual growth through comprehensive biblical teaching. Our foundations are made up of multiple phases, each building upon the previous to deepen your understanding of the Christian faith.
ABOUT THE PROGRAM
JUMPSTART is the first step in Carolina Church’s discipleship journey. Designed for new believers, new members and anyone wanting to strengthen their faith, JUMPSTART introduces the essential truths of Christianity and prepares you for continued spiritual growth.
Following Christ is more than making a decision. It’s beginning a lifelong journey. JUMPSTART provides the biblical foundation, practical tools and supportive community to help you confidently take your next step.
From there, you’ll continue growing through our Foundations Curriculum, where each phase builds upon the previous one, helping you mature in your faith and become a lifelong disciple of Jesus Christ.
Jumpstart Curriculum
Foundations Course — Phase 1
5 COURSES
Discover the core truths of Christianity and establish a solid biblical foundation. Through five progressive courses, you’ll learn who God is, understand the message of Scripture, overcome common misconceptions and begin building a faith that lasts.
01 Course 1: Alpha Begin your spiritual journey with Alpha, where you’ll discover the foundational principles of Christianity. Details
COURSE DESCRIPTION
Our Foundations series encompasses a step-by-step approach to understanding the essentials of what it means to be a follower of Christ. A snapshot of our Alpha course will cover the topics of God the Father, God the Son, God the Holy Spirit, the Trinity. By the end of the course participants will have a strong understanding of the attributes of God, the deity of Jesus of Christ, the role of the Holy Spirit, and how each of these persons is distinct from the others, while working together in perfect harmony.
02 Course 2: The Lies Examine common misconceptions about Christianity and faith that may have hindered your spiritual growth. Details
COURSE DESCRIPTION
Our Foundations series encompasses a step-by-step approach to understanding the essentials of what it means to be a follower of Christ. A snapshot of our “The Lies” course will cover the topics of Creation, the Fall of Man, Heaven and Hell, and what happens when we die. We know what the world says, but what does the bible say!
03 Course 3: The Truth Build upon your understanding by exploring core Christian truths that transform lives through Scripture. Details
COURSE DESCRIPTION
Our Foundations series encompasses a step-by-step approach to understanding the essentials of what it means to be a follower of Christ. A snapshot of our “Truth” course will cover the topics of Salvation, the Second Coming, Regeneration/Justification and Sanctification. As we dig deeper into biblical truths, let’s see what God has to say about the matter.
04 Course 4: The Story Gain insight into God’s overarching narrative throughout Scripture and understand His plan for humanity. Details
COURSE DESCRIPTION
When we look at the church today, are we following the model that Christ set for us in the bible? The fourth module in our Foundations series, “The Story”, will walk us through the Great Commission, our roles in making disciples, what the church really is and what it is not, and why we need the church today.
05 Course 5: Omega Complete Phase 1 with the culminating course that brings together all previous teachings and prepares you for continued growth. Details

The Omega Course will focus on how to read and study the bible. This session of our Foundations series explores and practices the basic principles of bible interpretation. Learn and perform the guiding principles that lead to correctly understanding the Bible.
Growing in Faith — Phase 2

Deepen your relationship with Christ through practical teaching on discipleship, biblical truth, prayer, spiritual gifts, spiritual warfare, authentic relationships and victorious Christian living.
01 Course 1: The Value of Connections & Relationship Explore the importance of Christian community and authentic relationships that strengthen your faith journey. Guest Speaker: Richard Cohen Details

This class will focus on the importance of being connected to one another and talk about the different types of relationships God has established for us.
02 Course 2: What Makes Me a Disciple Understand the characteristics and commitments of true discipleship as your life increasingly reflects Christ. Details
COURSE DESCRIPTION
You will learn what it means to move beyond simply believing in Jesus and begin living as a devoted follower of Christ. Through practical biblical teaching, you will examine obedience, sacrifice, spiritual discipline, service, and the daily choices that demonstrate a genuine commitment to becoming more like Jesus.
03 Course 3: Is the Bible Really True? Address questions about biblical reliability and authenticity through historical and archaeological evidence. Details
COURSE DESCRIPTION
How can you trust the bible? Isn’t it just a book written by men so that we can come up with our own interpretation? If you’ve thought of that question before, then this class is for you. Come learn why the Bible is the true Word of God so you will never doubt again.
04 Course 4: Spiritual Gifts Identify and develop the unique spiritual gifts God has given you to fulfill your role in God’s kingdom. Details
COURSE DESCRIPTION
You will discover the purpose of spiritual gifts, explore the different ways God empowers believers, and learn how to recognize where you may be uniquely gifted. This course will also help you use your gifts with humility, wisdom, confidence, and love while avoiding comparison and remaining focused on serving others for God’s glory.
05 Course 5: Spiritual Warfare Gain understanding about the reality of spiritual conflict and biblical strategies for victory. Details
COURSE DESCRIPTION
You will learn how to identify spiritual attacks, stand firmly on God’s Word, and respond through prayer, faith, wisdom, and obedience. The course will also help you understand the importance of the armor of God, recognize unhealthy patterns and deception, and remain spiritually alert without living in fear or confusion.
06 Course 6: If I’m Saved, Why Do I Still Struggle with Sin? Explore the tension between your new identity in Christ and ongoing struggles with sin. Details
COURSE DESCRIPTION
When Christians make the decision to accept Christ as Savior, many believe that life following salvation will be smooth sailing. But what many Christians have learned over the years is that in spite of giving our lives to Christ, sin still tries to creep up in our lives on a daily basis. This course will dive into what it means to be saved and why sin is ever present in our daily lives.
07 Course 7: Why Should I Pray Discover the power and purpose of prayer in the Christian life and develop a meaningful prayer practice. Details

Have you ever wondered if there is any real value in praying to God? This next course in our Foundations series, ” Why Should I Pray”, focuses on the value of praying, how prayer should show up in our lives and what it looks like to pray.
Living the Christian Life — Phase 3

Move from learning to living as you grow in spiritual maturity. These transformational courses help you walk in holiness, live out your identity in Christ, discover your purpose and faithfully serve God’s Kingdom.
01 Course 1: So, What Now? (Now that you’re assured Christ as Savior, What Comes Next?) Discover the essential next steps for growing in your faith through consistent practice and community. Details
COURSE DESCRIPTION
You will learn practical ways to pray, study Scripture, understand God’s Word, and develop spiritual habits that support lasting growth. The course will also help you navigate common questions new believers face, understand the importance of fellowship and accountability, and move forward with confidence in your new relationship with Christ.
02 Course 2: Simply Sanctification (Just Cuz You Can!) Explore how sanctification is both a gift and a journey as you continue to grow more like Christ. Details
COURSE DESCRIPTION
Through biblical teaching and practical application, you will learn how to recognize old patterns, establish healthy boundaries, and make choices that reflect your growing relationship with God. You will also discover how to respond to temptation, extend grace to yourself and others, and pursue a life that honors Christ without falling into shame, pressure, or legalism.
03 Course 3: Simply Sanctification (Mind Your Business) Examine what it truly means to live out your faith daily by aligning your identity in Christ. Details

You will explore how your faith should influence your relationships, responsibilities, conversations, attitudes, and personal conduct. This course will help you recognize areas where growth is needed, take ownership of your spiritual development, and build a consistent lifestyle that reflects the character, wisdom, and love of Christ in every environment.
04 Course 4: So, You Say You’re a Christian Identify and evaluate the ways your faith gives you tools to serve others as vital members of the kingdom. Details
COURSE DESCRIPTION
You will gain a deeper understanding of Christian maturity, spiritual responsibility, and the importance of allowing your faith to shape every part of your life. You will also learn how to recognize your gifts, strengthen them through service, and use them with confidence, humility, and purpose within the church, your community, and the relationships God has entrusted to you.
